I was commissioned to create a piece for a client who asked simply to "do something about The Rolling Stones." I loved being given the freedom on this project to explore an artistic tribute to one of the most iconic rock groups of all time. I used the opportunity to depart from some of my cleaner, tighter compositions and have some fun blending the colors right on the canvas, using the palette knife to scrape the final colors over the top of previous layers. Silver metallic paint was used in some of the highlight areas and a glow-in-the-dark outline was applied to the whole image. Fun.

The original painting measures 30" x 40", acrylic on canvas.
